Burial Contract

  • No limit on amount of contract

  • Not counted as available asset if contract is irrevocable


Burial Account

  • In addition to any other burial assets

  • Set up account of up to $2,500

  • Savings account or certificate of deposit

  • Interest may increase account above $2,500

  • Owner of the account is a person other than the Medicaid applicant

  • Title must include "Name of Medicaid applicant" Burial Fund


Burial Plot

  • One plot for Medicaid applicant

  • Identify family members to be buried in other plots owned by Medicaid applicant.
